About Us

Like so many other couples, after getting married, my husband I were extremely excited to start trying for a baby. You can imagine our surprise when, just one month after our wedding, we were staring at a BFP HPT. I had heard so many stories of it taking some time after discontinuing BC. Being that my husband is a father of four from a previous marriage, two of which live with us, there was no lack of bonus mommy duties to keep me busy as I transitioned into my new life as their extra mom. At this time I was completely okay if we didn’t get pregnant right away…

Nonetheless we were beyond grateful, happy and excited it had happened so quickly for us. Our first ultrasound appointment went well. We were able to see and hear our tiny bundle of joy. Our baby continued to grow and progress like a healthy pregnancy. Our Nuchal Screen at 14 weeks returned without any evidence of chromosomal abnormalities. At that 14-week scan, I still remember seeing my little love bug on the screen sucking his thumb, already so full of personality. I was head over hills in love with this little person. Nothing else seem to matter. Every choice regarding the future was now made with my baby boy in mind.

July 8th, 2018 at 745am. This is the day and time that everything related to pregnancy bliss and the idea of a “safe, you’re in the clear zone” during pregnancy faded away for me and my husband.

We loss our beautiful baby boy at 19 weeks…

For the last 1 2 years since our loss, we have been trying tirelessly to conceive and carry to term…

There was a time where we felt we had all the time in the world to make additions to our family. Now, that thought is replaced with a sense of urgency in an arena where you can’t speed things up. The pace is only as fast as a 28 day cycle (more or less days for some women)…

2 years, 4 miscarriages, 4 unsuccessful IUIs later, we our entering out next chapter which is IVF…
